Social Strawberry sensation La Fresería opens in Las Palmas

La fresería, the Spanish chain which has taken strawberries to sensational levels on social media, has opened their first store in the Canary Islands in Las Palmas.

Located in the vibrant heart of the city at Calle Luis Morote 57📍 they had long queues forming along the street on Saturday when they opened.

Forming long lines for sweet treats is nothing new in Las Palmas, Heladeria Peña la Vieja📍 on Paseo de Las Canteras📍 is long loved by locals and travellers alike, it’s often got long queues of folks wanting a ice cream to enjoy the sunset with.

The new strawberry store near the end of Calle Luis Morote📍is so close to the beach it’s ideal for sundown strawberries and sharing snaps on socials.

As a social media storm La fresería have had more than a hundred million views and have amassed over 200,000 followers.

The formula is simple and the product is super sharable on socials!

Start with a base of fresh strawberries, add melted chocolate, yoghurts, syrups and then crunchy toppings like broken up Oreo biscuits and coconut.

The SuperDino at Calle Luis Morote 52📍, on the other side of the street sells strawberries, they’re just not as Instagram worthy when they’re in a plastic punnet!
